Therapy for adults struggling with depression, anxiety, relationships and communication throughout the states of CA & WA

Life may seem good on paper. Your inner world feels constricted, and stuck. Depression, trauma and anxiey show up in different ways:

  • You have no clue how to answer the question “how are your feeling”

  • Something is off in your relationship to your partner and you can’t put your finger on it

  • Work runs your life and you can’t seem to live for yourself

  • You’ve been relying on drinking, smoking, or your phone to get you through the next day

  • A traumatic event has made you feel isolated from others

  • You have a constant sense that you are bad, wrong and always guilty

  • You feel like your feelings are constantly too much for others

  • You have a sense that there are things from the past that needs to be understood.

You want to feel alive

Life doesn't have to feel this heavy. There’s a way out of the tangled mess you can’t shake. Therapy is for you if you want to:

  • Live a slower and more reflective existence

  • Love and be loved with more ease

  • Experience your full range of emotion

  • Laugh harder and suck the marrow out of life

  • Understand those small moments that felt strange

  • Live a more playful and less stressed existence

  • Untangle dynamics that lead to dead ends

Hi. I’m Albert.

If you’re struggling to feel like yourself, you are in the right place. I work with adults who want to feel more alive in their relationships and with themselves. Many of my clients focus on understanding the development of their inner world and how this is impacting their relationship with work, family, partners, friends, and of course, themselves.

I practice from an eclectic approach, integrating relational psychoanalysis, attachment theory, existential therapy, along with other approaches as needed. Learn more about my approach here.

I am a strong believer that therapy offers a unique opportunity for healing and transformation.

Areas of Focus:

Depression and Anxiety

You feel cut off and not like yourself. You want to just stay in bed all day because any amount of starting up feels like lifting a weight too heavy to move. You know it’s not going to get any easier until you work on it, but you don’t know how. In our work together we can understand ourselves in new ways and work to create change driven from you.

Self Worth and Confidence

You feel like an impostor, like all you can do is compare yourself with others and just come up short. Maybe at times it feels not even worth it to share how you feel because you’re simply not worth it. These feelings are simultaneously real but not true. In therapy together we will work to untangle these stories about your self worth and return to a more authentic version of your self.

Relationships & Communication

You feel stagnant in your relationship, like you don’t even know how to communicate what you feel. A stuckness follows you and it feels hard to put words to actually represent how you feel. In our work we will strive to understand what’s going on beneath the surface and how to communicate it. You deserve to be understood.

Attachment and Inner Child Work

You know that your parents were well meaning and loved you growing up, but you can’t shake this feeling that something went wrong. “Why do I feel have such a hard time connecting with or loving others?” We can believe that we should be seen but not heard, or believe that our bigger feelings are not meant to be expressed. In therapy together we will work to understand your older parts and get a clearer sense of how you are and who you can become.
